The Restaurant/Bistro is located in the downtown National Historic District in a building 150 years old. The overall facility is 3,200 square feet with 3 bathrooms, a private office and a service elevator. Interior seating is approximately 125, and the outside deck seats an additional 45. The Restaurant/Bistro was built in 1974 and has been in operation for 27 years. Over the past quarter of a century, this location has been an important part of the Montpelier Community attracting locals, tourists and state government employees for lunch, dinner, drinks and evening entertainment. The interior is all natural brick with large brick arches that one passes through from room to room. The ceilings are high with authentic Art Deco lighting and additional Art Deco architectural embellishments and treatments throughout. The 14-seat bar top is covered in green marble. Presently there is no furniture, carpet or kitchen equipment aside from two walk-in coolers, kitchen hood, fire suppression system, service elevator, bar, back bar, ice bins and sinks in both kitchen and bar areas. The facility has central air and heat as well as an alarm system for fire and entry.

 

The Restaurant/Bistro is located on two floors. The first floor is 1,600 square feet, and the second floor is 1,600 square feet. The outside deck is approximately 800 square feet. The top floor is accessible by a very grand five-foot wide staircase. This top floor can be used as a private function room that can also accommodate the overflow at lunch and dinner when not being used or rented by large groups.
