Wilson Park is a cooperative venture between Barre Area Development Inc., a non-profit development group, and the Town of Barre. They have worked together, and with the State of Vermont, to provide exceptional, affordable industrial/commercial development sites in the Barre area of Central Vermont.
The park is home to Northern Power Systems, Inc., a high tech, energy management company. The park expended with a 37,500 square foot industrial building leased to Cabot Creamery, makers of world-famous cheddar cheese. The park also houses Vermont Butter & Cheese, an award winner in the manufacturing of goat cheeses.
The park currently hosts a dozen tenants on 40 acres with a total of 1,000 employees, and there are 88 additional acres available. Of these, 50 acres can be commercially zoned. Water, sewer, electricity and rail are in the park, and a master development permit is in hand.
The park is near municipal offices, school, recreation and housing. Lots can be tailored to the client's needs. Several sites feature spectacular views of Vermont countryside.
